Septic Services in Lakewood Ranch
Lakewood Ranch itself is a master-planned, centrally-sewered community — if you live inside the Ranch proper, you likely don't need us. But the estate corridors that ring it absolutely do: Panther Ridge, Pomello Park, the Foxwood and Concession-adjacent acreage off SR-70 and CR-675. Out there, five-acre homesteads run on private wells and septic, and the systems are often larger and more sophisticated than the county norm.
Estate-scale septic realities
- Big homes, big flows: five-bathroom estates with guest casitas put real volume through their systems — sizing that looked generous at permit time gets consumed by actual use.
- ATUs are common here: many estate parcels carry aerobic treatment units, which Florida law pairs with an operating permit and a required maintenance contract. If you bought a home with an ATU, that obligation transferred to you — our ATU guide explains what it means.
- Irrigation collisions: lush estate landscaping and drain fields are natural enemies. Irrigation heads soaking a drain field are one of the most common — and most fixable — problems we find on large lots.
Frequently asked questions
I'm inside Lakewood Ranch proper — do I have a septic tank?
Almost certainly not; the Ranch's villages are on central sewer. The septic zone starts on the acreage corridors around it — Panther Ridge, Pomello Park and east along SR-70.
Who maintains my ATU?
Florida requires ATUs to be under a maintenance contract with periodic inspections. We can tell you what your operating permit requires and keep the system compliant.
